Squarespace A Record Setup Instructions

To activate the site on the internet you will need to update your A record from within your Squarespace account.
(Please note if your domain is not registered with Squarespace, you will need to contact the registration company and tell them you need to change the A records: @ and www with the IP address below).

Note: To find your IP address locate it in the getting started email (if you can't find that, email [e-mail] and request your website IP Address make sure to include your domain name / URL in the request)

To edit the A record do the following:

1. Log into your squarespace.com account
2. Click on "Domains" at the top left, or click on this link: https://account.squarespace.com/domains, and click on your domain.
3. On the next screen click on "DNS" at the left side, scroll down and click on the "Add Record" button at the lower right-hand side.
4. Delete the Squarespace preset that contains an A record named @ by clicking the trash symbol at the right side and clicking "Delete" again on the pop-up window.
5. Scroll down and click on the "Add Record" button at the lower right-hand side.
6. Add an A record, name it @, set it to your IP address (see note at the top of this article), and click "Save".
7. Add an A record, name it www, set it to your IP address (see note at the top of this article), and click "Save".
