Transferring Your Domain Name To Godaddy

If you purchased your domain name directly from myers you will need to transfer your domain name as well.

We recommend using godaddy (but you can transfer to any registrar) but we do not recommend purchasing any additional products that godaddy will try to upsell you during the process.

Before you start the transfer we recommend calling myers and asking them to unlock the domain

1) To start the transfer go to
http://www.godaddy.com/domains/domain-transfer.aspx

2) Enter your domain

3) Click proceed to checkout
Do not buy any additional products godaddy recommends these are not necessary only the transfer is needed

4) Once you finish the transfer purchase call myers and tell them that you initiated the transfer and ask them to approve the transfer (they will receive an email from godaddy that they have to follow to finish the transfer).

5) Once the domain is transferred you can update the name servers to make the site live - see Godaddy Name Server Instructions Article.
