How to Get Your Google My Business Profile (GMB) Verified

Step-by-step Guide

To get your Google My Business profile verified, follow the steps below, and take note of the important instructions at the bottom of the article:

1. On a phone that you can use to record videos, open a browser such as Chrome, and go to www.google.com
2. Log onto the Google Account that has admin access (Primary Owner, Owner, or Manager) to your GMB.
3. Click the icon with the 9 dots at the top right and go to the Google Profile Manager
4. On the next page, scroll down and look for the profile that you want to get verified, and click its Get verified button
    
5. On the next screen. click Next, take note of the instructions on the succeeding screen, click next, and hit the Start Recording button.
6. Allow access to the phone's Camera and Microphone.
7. Hit the Record button at the bottom
8. Follow the prompts

Please take note of these important instructions:

1. Your location should match your Business Profile address (Example: street sign, nearby businesses)
2. Your business name and category should match your Business Profile (Example: business exterior and interior, products or equipment)
3. You’re authorized to represent this business (Example: unlocking store entrance, operating payment tool, proof of address)
4. Plan ahead. Make sure you capture all 3 requirements in 1 continuous recording.
5. Take your time. Most successful videos are 1-2 minutes. Videos longer than 5 minutes won't be accepted.
6. Start outside. Capture your business surroundings first before moving inside.
